Delete Your Account

Sign in with the account you use in Outpost, and you can delete it here immediately. You do not need the app installed.

Used Outpost without ever signing in? Anonymous accounts carry no email, so we cannot look them up here. Email outpostforfans@gmail.com and we will help identify and remove your data.

This cannot be undone. Your account, profile, RSVPs, check-ins, followed teams, feedback and any bar-ownership enquiry will be permanently deleted.

Ratings you submitted stay in the directory but are detached from you — re-keyed to a random identifier with your account id removed, so they can no longer be traced back to you. Bars you nominated stay listed with your attribution stripped.

Last check. Deleting is permanent and immediate.

Your account has been deleted

Your sign-in, profile and personal records are gone. Ratings you left remain in the directory, detached from you.

Nothing further is required. You can close this page.

How to request deletion

You do not need to sign in, and you do not need the app installed. Email outpostforfans@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my account”.

If you have an account. Send the request from the email address you used to sign in with Google or Apple, or tell us that address. That is how we locate your account.

If you never signed in. Outpost works without an account, and anonymous accounts carry no name or email, so an email address alone usually cannot identify you. To find your data we may ask you to confirm details only you would know — specific bars or teams you rated, the city you use, or roughly when you submitted something.

You can also delete your account from inside the app, under Settings. This page exists so that deletion is available to you whether or not you still have the app.

How long it takes

We acknowledge every request within 14 days and complete verified requests within 30 days.

What gets deleted

The following are permanently removed and cannot be recovered:

Ratings you submitted stay in the community directory, but they stop being connected to you. We move each rating to a new record with a randomly generated identifier and strip your user id from it. After that the rating cannot be traced back to you, by us or by anyone else, and it is no longer recoverable as yours.

We do this because ratings are aggregated into each bar’s community score. Removing them would silently change the scores other fans rely on, and a bar’s rating would shift for reasons unrelated to the bar.

Reports you filed and any backer flags you set are treated the same way — detached from you, retained in aggregate.

What is kept

Bars you nominated remain in the directory. A bar describes a public business, not you. We strip your name from the submission so the listing is no longer attributed to you, but the bar itself stays so other fans can still find it.

If you would prefer a bar you submitted to be removed entirely rather than unattributed, say so in your email and we will review it.

Deleting the app is not the same as deleting your account

Removing Outpost from your device does not delete anything from our servers. Use the in-app option under Settings, or email us using the address above.
